A DIAGNOSIS OF THE BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDER BY MEANS OF THE RORSCHACH TEST
Summary. Borderline syndrom has to be clearly differentiated
from other forms of pathology, such as neurosis, psychosis
and/or conduct disorders. Severe identity disturbances but
adequate reality testing, hostility-linked conflicts, avoiding
intimacy, fear of being criticized, suspiciousness, use of
primitive defense mechanisms, low self-esteem level are the
main features that characterize borderline from a psychological
point of view. This variables my be reliably assessed by means
of the Rorschach Inkblot test in order to discriminate borderline
syndrome from other partially overlapping disturbances such as
borderline schizophrenia or schizotypical personality disorders.
