A PSYCHODYNAMIC APPROACH IN PRENATAL PSYHOLOGY: SOME REPRODUCTIVE PROBLEMS.


The aim of the present article is to review the literature on prenatal psychology, where the various issues of human reproduction are analysed from the psychoanalytical perspective. The article discusses the psychoanalytical view on pregnancy and delivery: the classical and feministic approach, fantasies during pregnancy, pregnancy as a period of personality crisis, development, and transformation, and the biological and psychological bond between mother and child. The contribution of psychoanalytical paradigm to the general knowledge of psychological aspects of human reproduction will be mentioned here.
