The quarterly "Studia Prawnicze KUL" contains studies and articles in the field of legal science. The subject matter of the articles is left to the authors.

Texts submitted for publication in "Studia Prawnicze KUL" must not be published anywhere else. They must not infringe third party copyright. The possible contribution of others to the publication and possible sources of funding should be disclosed. Practices referred to as ghost writing and ghost authorship are regarded as a manifestation of scientific misconduct and violation of ethical principles in science. Any such misconduct will be documented and disclosed. The author confirms the originality of the scientific publication by submitting a written statement within the framework of the signed publishing contract.

The original version of the quarterly is a printed version.

 

  1. GENERAL INFORMATION

2. Document format. The main text should be typed in Times New Roman 12, spacing: 1.5. The footnotes should be written in Times New Roman 10 , leading: 1.0; with references in the upper index.

  1. Do not make extra spacing between paragraphs.

Electronic text should not include automatic word break or any additional formatting

  1. If the author uses an internal division of the article, this division should be made so that it contains: a) introduction, b) the relevant content of the article, divided into smaller subordinate units introduced by subheadings (only one-level division is acceptable); The subheadings should be highlighted in bold, c) the end.
  2. The first page should contain the title of the article, the name of the author and the full name of the represented institution, degree (title), mailing address, e-mail, telephone number.
  3. The article should be accompanied by a Bibliography (list of quoted literature); The items should be alphabetically arranged. Do not include page numbers.
  4. The last page should contain: title, abstract and keywords in Polish and title, abstract and keywords in English. The abstract should not exceed 20 lines of text.
  5. The editors do not verify the quotations used in the work or their translations.
  6. The editor reserves the right to remove stylistic defects and to unify the text as indicated, without consulting the author.

II PRINCIPLES FOR PREPARING THE FOOTNOTES

 

 

Footnotes should be written in roman type, except for titles of books, articles or standalone texts in collective works, which should be in italics. It does not apply to titles of legal acts.

 

Journal titles should be given in full text. In general, shortcuts are not used, except for codes - then the shortcuts are created as follows: k.c. - Civil Code; k.s.h. - Code of Commercial; k. k. - The Penal Code.

 

In footnotes, the following order of bibliographic entries is used:

a) description of the books - the initials of the author's name and surname, the title of the work, the volume (if any), the place and year of publication, the number of the page referred.

(b) description of the work being part of the collective publication - use the entry [in:] and give the initials of the name and the name of the editor, and then, after the abbreviation (ed.), the title of the book, place of issue, year, page number.

 

Example:

A, Dębiński, Z historii Wydziału, [in:] A. Dębiński, W. Sz. Staszewski, M. Wójcik (ed.), Profesorowie prawa Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, Lublin 2006, p. 9.

 

c) description of the articles - initials of the author's name and surname, title of the article, title of the journal (in quotation marks), year of publication, magazine number in the given year, number of the page referred.

 

Example:

 

M. Szewczyk, Prawnokarna ochrona tajemnicy zawodowej lekarza, „Czasopismo Prawa Karnego i Nauk Penalnych” 2000, No 1, p. 165.

 

In the case of journal articles, the author's first name, the title of the article, the title of the journal (in quotation marks), the date of issue and the page number are given.

d) description of the court or tribunal judgments - the name of the court, the name of the issuing authority, date of issue, signature of the file and (if the judgment was published) indication of the place of publication and number of page referred.

e) description of legal acts - method of citation according to the Principles of Legislative Technique (Ordinance of the Prime Minister of 20 June 2002 on "Principles of Legislative Techniques", Journal of Laws of 2016, item 283, unified text)

If the work was previously referred to in another footnote, the next reference shall include, after the author's name, a clear and unambiguous short title and the number of the cited page. This treatment is also used when only one publication of the author is mentioned in the work.
