Marek Dąbrowski, PhD

 

 

 

Assiociate professor at the Department of Negotiations and Mediation at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. A graduate of postgraduate studies in the field of "legal mediation and negotiations" as well as management and marketing as part of the Polish-American Postgraduate Management Studies at the Lublin University of Technology. He has twice received an outstanding assessment as part of the periodic evaluation of academic teachers. He also received a 3rd degree team award from the Rector of the Catholic University of Lublin "for outstanding organizational and social activity and popularization of science". At the University, he is the curator of the Scientific Circle of Law Students in Business and the tutor of the second year students of law in business. He is also the Academic Ombudsman of KUL. In addition, he managed the Lublin Arbitration and Mediation Center and as a mediator in civil and commercial cases, he conducted several dozen mediations. As a lecturer at KSSiP, he conducted training in the field of mediation in civil cases, e.g. for judges, judges' assistants, court referendaries, probation officers and trainees. Research interests: the law of amicable dispute resolution, especially mediation in civil cases, ADR and ODR in consumer matters.

  • Expert of the European Commission in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), from November 11, 2021.
  • Mediation expert in the project "Dissemination of alternative methods of dispute resolution by improving the competence of mediators, creation of the National Register of Mediators (KRM) and information activities" implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, from October 1, 2020.
