METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF REACTION TIME MEASUREMENT
Reaction time is one of most frequently used indicators in experimental psychology and psychological practice. There are however some assumptions, which investigators not always realise. The paper is devoted to analyse some aspects of reaction time measurement. The problems of measurement scale, reaction time investigations under assumption of serial vs. parallel information processing are discussed as well as statistical methods frequently assessed to reaction time experiments. It is postulated, that rather individual distributions of reaction times than "mean reaction time" alone should be used while analysing psychological data using reaction time as dependent variable indicatorAutor: Ewelina Soszyńska
