- Reverend Michał Marian Maciołek was born on 28.09.1971 in Lubaczow (his hometown is Dachnów near Lubaczow).
- He received priestly orders from reverend Bishop Prof. Jan Śrutwa in 1996 after finishing formation at the Higher Clerical Seminary of the Zamosc-Lubaczow Diocesy in Lublin and philosophical & theological studies at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.
- He wrote his Master’s thesis entitled Moral aspects of responsible parenthood in post-Conciliar teaching of the Church under supervision of reverend Prof. Janusz Nagórny.
- After two-year ministerial and catechistic service in St. Joseph parish in Tomaszow Lubelski he took up in 1998 specialist studies on the history of philosophy at the Catholic University of Lublin. His doctoral dissertation entitled Quaestiones super primum librum „De interpretatione” Aristotelis secundum Benedictum Hesse – Critical edition, written under supervision of reverend archbishop Prof. Stanisław Wielgus at the History of Philosophy Department in Poland he defended in 2007.
- From 2006 to 2008 he worked in the Institute of History of Medieval Culture. From October 2008 he was an assistant(at present he is a lecturer) at the History of Polish Philosophy Department of the Philosophy Faculty of Catholic University of Lublin. Since 2000 along with his scientific work he has also combined a tutorial service at the Higher Clerical Seminary of the Zamosc-Lubaczow Diocesy in Lublin, where he is a deputy director at the moment.
