Włodzimierz Oniszczenko, Halina Ziółkowska

The paper presents psychometric properties of the Polish version of Moos and Moos’ Family Environment Scale (FES). A psychometric analysis was conducted using a sample of 293 adolescents aged from 17 to 19 (mean age 17,9) served as subjects. An item analysis (internal consistency) was performed, and subscale intercorrelation, temporal stability as well as factor analysis were assessed. It has been stated that the Polish version of the FES showed satisfactory psychometric indices. Cronbach alpha coefficients ranged from 0,38 to 0,75. Test-retest reliability correlations ranged from 0,66 to 0,90 for two week interval ratings, and from 0,49 to 0,82 when the interval between ratings was six months.
