Psychologiczne uwarunkowania sukcesów zawodowych

The article focuses on the problems of adults who achieve professional success. The research embraced 180 respondents divided into three groups. The first group included those who achieved academic success (62), the second those who proved to be successful in business (51), and the third group were people with o particular achievement(67). The main area of interest in the presented research is the variables that seem relevant in the context of job success. The are job satisfaction, sense of control and interpersonal relations. Furthermore, some demographic data were analysed that pertain to the social circumstances of the respondents and help interpret the obtained results. The analysis of variance demonstrated that the groups differ considerably as the selected variables. People who are successful at work display more job satisfaction than those who cannot claim comparable achievement. Those who gained success in business are characterized by a much stronger internal locus of control than the members of the other groups. The research results confirmed the hypothesis concerning interpersonal relations. The members of the academic achievement group were mostly representatives of the interpersonal types DE Cold- Hearted and FG Aloof- Introverted. The members of the financial success group were mostly representatives of the type PA Assured- Dominant.
