Quarterly “Society & Family” (ISSN 1734-6614) has been in circulation since 2004. After three years of its publications, the journal was reorganized in 2010 receiving 6 points (1-9 scale) and being registered in Part B in the list of journals issued by of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education; in 2012 the journal got 7 points (1-10 scale), and in 2013 – 8 points. Since parameterization process held in 2015, “S&F” has 11 points (new scale 1-15) with its title indexed in the data bases of scientific journals Index Copernicus International (with 5.93 index value for 2014) and CEJSH.


Both Polish and foreign academics are welcome to publish their papers on the pages of “S&F”. It is necessary to mention the journal’s strong point which is the part of foreign professionals on its Editorial Board, involving academics from Poland, Great Britain and the United States, its Scientific Board uniting the scientists from the United States, Canada, Australia, Turkey, Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Finland, Nigeria, Bulgaria and Poland. The Reviewers’ Board looks very much international as well having in 2013-2014 the reviewers from the United States, Australia, Malaysia, Turkey, Great Britain, Georgia, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Slovakia and Poland. The list of reviewers is available annually in the printed version of the journal.


The journal accepts academic papers from within pedagogy, sociology as well as other academic disciplines. Occasionally, papers from the field of humanities are also considered, providing they relate well to the overall theme of the journal. There are also the following rubrics in the quarterly: biographies of renowned pedagogues and sociologists, book reviews, reports and discussions. The perspective authors of the articles for “S&F” are kindly asked to follow the instructions and requirements concerning the procedure of text applying and formatting. The articles are to be sent to the editors’ e-mail address (sir@kul.pl). It is also obligatory to complete and sign the form of the author’s statement, and then send it to the editors’ address by regular mail.


The articles for the upcoming issues of the journal are accepted in due time. They should first undergo formal verification. Then they are sent for two blind reviews as well as plagiarism verification. As a result, the articles may be rejected or sent back for improvement. The approved article is to wait for its turn to be published.
