Fr. Mirosław Stanisław Wróbel, born in the year 1966 in Kędzierzyn-Koźle (Poland),   professor; doctor of Biblical Sciences of École Biblique in Jerusalem; doctor of biblical theology; director of Institute of Biblical Studies and chief of department of Biblical Philology and Intertestamental Literature at John Paul II Catholic University in Lublin; member of Scientific Expertise Council; Rector's Representative for the Catholic-Jewish Relations & Scientific Research in the Holy Land; consultant of the Commission on the Doctrine of the Faith of the Polish Episcopal Conference; president of the “Verbum Sacrum” Association; director of the Aramaic Bible Project; director of the Biblical Formation Course; moderator of the Biblical Work of John Paul II of the Archdiocese of Lublin; member of the Management Board of the Catholic-Jewish Relations Center of Abraham Joshua Heschel; member of Association of Polish Biblical Scholars, Polish Society for Jewish Studies, Lublin Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Lublin Scientific Society; Associazione ex-alumni del Pontificio Istituto Biblico, Society of Biblical Literature, Catholic Biblical Association. He is the author of many books and articles about Johannine writings, Judaism of the Second Temple, Christian-Jewish dialogue, and Rabbinic literature.

 

Hobbies: Classical music, poetry, Judaic studies, traveling along biblical trails, tennis and swimming.
