Rev. Włodzimierz Broński, Hab. PhD, University Professor
Priest of the Archdiocese of Przemyśl; Director of the Department of Negotiations and Mediation; born in 21st of June 1962 in Głęboka near Biecz. During the years 1981-1987 he was studying Theology at KUL. His Master’s Thesis was written under supervision of ks. doc. dr hab. Mieczysław Cisło. After studies at Polish Philology Institute of Jagiellonian University, during 1995 - 1997, he received a Diploma in Rhetoric. In 1998 he defended his doctoral dissertation and was employed at the Faculty of Theology at KUL. From October 1, 2009 he started to work for the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration. His habilitation monograph was issued in 2007. In 2009, based on his work "Sermon as a work in the light of copyright law" written under supervision of rev. prof. dr hab. Piotr Stanisz, he received a Bachelor of Administration title. In October 1, 2008 he became a KUL University Professor. He was also on a research internship at Würzburg University in Germany.
Włodzimierz Broński is a member of several research organizations and associations, including the Lublin Scientific Society, Associates Group to Religious Language Commission in Polish Academy of Sciences, KUL Scientific Association and Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Homiletik.
His academic research is focused on the issues of: lawyer's competences as a negotiator or mediator, as well as areas of negotiation and mediation provided by law. Włodzimierz Broński has a Mediator Certificate, issued by Polish Mediation Centre in Warsaw, which allows him to mediate in criminal cases and in cases with minor offenders.
