The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin offers first-cycle, second-cycle and one-tier/long-cycle (Master’s) and third-cycle (doctoral) programmes.

  1. First-cycle programmes leading to a licencjat degree last 3 years. Admission is for secondary school graduates.
  2. Second-cycle programmes leading to a magister degree last 2 years. Admission is for holders of a licencjat or magister degree (in another field of study).
  3. Third-cycle programmes last 4 years. Admission is for holders of a magister degree.

The language of instruction is Polish. To be admitted to a degree programme, foreign candidates are required to know Polish. It will be assessed during an interview held in Polish.


Application deadlines

  • June 30th, 2017 –  for first-cycle and long-cycle programmes
  • August 31st, 2017 – for second-cycle and third-cycle programmes

Foreigners must pay tuition fees:

  • from 1400 euro to 3300 euro per year - for first-cycle, second-cycle and one-tier/long-cycle (Master’s) programmes
  • 3000 euro per year - for third-cycle (doctoral) programmes


In the first year students are required to pay additional 20 euro one-off fee.

Holders of the Polish Government Scholarship or the John Paul II Foundation Scholarship are exempt from the abovementioned fees.
