On Saturday 1st of July 2017 we are starting with the Summer School „Protection of Migrants’ Rights” organized by The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin within the “Open Integration” project. The Summer School is addressed to foreign students and the leaders of migrant communities not holding a citizenship of any of the EU countries. The current edition will be attended by 30 international students coming from 9 countries: Indonesia, Georgia, Ukraine, India, Salvador, Tunisia, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Nigeria. Classes will be conducted in an interactive form and will concern among other things: asylum and migration law of the European Union, freedom of movement of persons in the EU, current problems connected with human rights protection in the world and much more issues giving the participants in-depth knowledge of effective protection of their rights. Extraordinary practical element of the program are the so-called networking visits in offices and institutions providing help and integrating foreigners in Lublin, mentioned institutions are: Voivodeship Office, Lublin City Hall, The Rule of Law Institute Foundation, Center for the Meetings of Cultures in Lublin and the Border Guards Unit in Lublin. The Summer School „Protection of Migrants’ Rights” is organized in English on 1-7 July 2017 in Collegium Iuridicum KUL (Spokojna 1 st.) and the workshops will be held by the experts from the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration KUL.
