THE FIRST LIFE-SPAN CONFERENCE

The article is an attempt to evaluate the first conference on life-span as a turning - point in the history of psychology. This conference has begun a large study on human change throughout the life-span: from the moment of the individual`s conception until his death; it has induced the researches to re-define the term "development" and made the study on human development a multiparadigmatic one. In consequence there have been formulated a lot of new research problems as well as many interesting, heuristic thesis.
