THE PHENOMENON TO LITERARY AND SCIENTIFIC CREATION

Based on James’s distinction between the terms I and Me the theory of multivoiced self by Herman states that I has the capacity to imaginatively endow different features of Me with a voice. This way consecutive positions of I emerge and each of them becomes autonomous self-narrative centre which may entertain mutual dialogical relationships with other positions. The Bakhtin’s and Bibler’s theories consider literary and scientific creation, respectively, as a result of dialogical process. This the paper aims to compare their ideas to Hermans’s conception as a model that is able to explain the process of creation on the very basic level – in the context of the entire human I functioning.
