THE SENSE OF PROFESSIONAL EFFECTIVENESS IN TEACHERS
OF VARIOUS JOB SENIORITY


Abstract. The paper relates the findings of research conducted in a randomized group
of413 primary school teachers with various job seniority. Their analysis is focused on
such areas of occupational functioning as an ideal pattern of the occupational role of
a teacher, self-assessment as regards persona] and occupational advantages important
for their job, a sense of satisfaction in their job, intensity and structure of occupational
stress, and preferences as to further job training.
