Lublin Prevention in Cardiovascular Disease Summit 2026
The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin will host the Lublin Prevention in Cardiovascular Disease Summit 2026, the official meeting of the European Programme for Prevention.
On 29 January 2026, clinicians, researchers, decision-makers and journalists from all over Europe will gather at KUL. The aim is to discuss the latest strategy for reducing cardiovascular risk, with a particular focus on Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries.
Key points of the programme:
- presentation and discussion of the EU Safe Hearts Plan and the possibilities for its implementation in the CEE region, using the potential and experience of the region
- case studies of effective prevention programmes from Poland, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Romania, Estonia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Kosovo and Serbia
- scientific sessions devoted to new lipid therapies, inflammation and residual risk
- the role of universities and research institutes in shaping health policy and patient education
The highlight of the summit will be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between more than 30 universities, hospitals and scientific societies from the CEE region.
