Prof. Edyta Kociubińska joins the Council of the Association Internationale des Études Françaises

Prof. Edyta Kociubińska of the Department of French Studies at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin has been appointed to the Council of the Association Internationale des Études Françaises, a prestigious association founded in 1949 to promote French language, literature and culture throughout the world.

Professor Kociubinska is a specialist in 19th-century French literature, editor-in-chief of Quêtes littéraires and founder of the Club des Dix-Neuviémistes, an association of native Romance scholars specialising in 19th-century French literature.

On a daily basis, she gives lectures on French literature of the 19th century and teaches courses on French culture and civilisation.

Professor Kociubińska is the only Polish representative on this worldwide body, and we congratulate her warmly on this significant achievement.
