Name of the project: "Preparation of an international master study and recruitment in biological sciences provided by KUL and IUS".

 

Project implementation period: 01.10.2019 - 31.12.2020

 

The aim of the Project is to develop and establish second-cycle studies in the field of Bioanalytical Technologies in cooperation between the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and the International University of Sarajevo.

 

The target group consists of graduates of the 1st cycle degree programme in natural sciences who have the command of English.

 

Target value:

 

  • expert opinions on the curriculum of joint international Master’s degree programme in Bioanalytical Technologies, prepared in English by employers’ representatives - 4;
  • expert opinion on the curriculum of joint international Master’s degree programme in Bioanalytical Technologies, prepared in English by an expert in joint international studies - 1
  • "International Book of Education Quality" containing, among others "Principles of conducting classes" and "Guidelines for tracking graduates’ career paths", prepared in English - 1;
  • full documentation of the new curriculum of joint international Master’s degree programme in Bioanalytical Technologies (including principles for issuing diplomas, graduates’ profiles, syllabuses, plan of study, staff etc.), prepared by the members of KUL's and IUS's working groups in Polish, Bosnian and English (in accordance with the requirements of the Minister of Science and Higher Education and the internal rules) - 1;
  • -academic staff - members of KUL's working group responsible for preparing joint international Master’s degree programme in Bioanalytical Technologies who took part in study visits in Poland – 6;
  • academic staff - members of KUL's working group responsible for preparing joint international Master’s degree programme in Bioanalytical Technologies who took part in international study visits – 6;
  • academic staff - members of IUS's working group responsible for preparing joint international Master’s degree programme in Bioanalytical Technologies who took part in study visits abroad – 5;
  • members of KUL’s academic staff who extended their knowledge thanks to textbooks and other materials purchased in order to develop the study curriculum – 6;
  • lecture outlines necessary to conduct practical classes in laboratories, in PDF, prepared in English – 29;
  • lecture outlines in PDF, prepared in English - 29;
  • members of academic staff who completed training on raising competences in using innovative didactic methods in English – 15;
  • information and promotion campaign conducted in English by KUL in Poland – 1;
  • information and promotion campaign conducted in English, in Bosnia and Herzegovina – 1;

 

Budget

 

Project implemented as part of the KATAMARAN Programme – Establishing and conducting joint second-cycle studies, co-financed from the European Social Fund under the Operational Programme Knowledge, Education, Development (OP KED), a non-competition project entitled “Supporting the institutional capacity of Polish HEIs through establishing and conducting international studies curricula”,implemented under Measure 3.3 Internationalisation of the Polish higher education, specified in the application for project co-financing No POWR.03.03.00-00-PN 16/18.

 

Total eligible expenditure under the Project: 359 962,00 PLN. Contribution of the European Funds: 100%.
