The first part of the paper presents a definition of the affective style (AS) according Davidson. The second one comparises our own, comprehensive and compelling approach to affective style, here, called as affective pattern (AP). It has been seen as a relatively stable characteristic of personality, composed of the formal features included to the definition after Davidson and added content ones. The former are ways is build of leading mood, understood as an individual constellation of emotions, feelings and so called ‘nonemotional’ states.
