Language program of the course - more than just language classes

Intensive language course

  • 20 hours of Polish language classes per week *1 lesson hour = 45 minutes

  • learning all skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing

  • various teaching materials

NOTE! You can expand your program with individual classes and/or conversation classes (optional - additional fee)

Knowledge about Poland

  • 4 hours per week of lectures on Polish culture, history, economy, and contemporary issues

  • 1 hour per week of thematic seminars

Cultural and tourist program – Poland in practice

Excursions

  • 1 full-day bus trip each week of the course - including Warsaw, Zamość, Sandomierz, Kozłówka

Guided tour of Lublin

  • Old Town, Lublin Village Museum, Majdanek

Live culture

  • Folklore workshops (dance, music, regional traditions)

  • Polish film screenings

  • Concerts, exhibitions, and current cultural events

 

Diploma and ECTS credits

The course ends with a written exam. After passing it, you will receive a diploma and a certificate, and a transcript upon request

 

The 4-week course allows you to earn ECTS credits:

  • 5 ECTS – language classes

  • 1.5 ECTS – lectures

(The recognition of credits depends on the participant's home university)

American students who wish to attend summer courses can apply to The Kosciuszko Foundation. Each year the Kosciuszko Foundation offers a number of scholarships to American students of Polish descent to take part in Summer Study programs in Polish language at our School!

How to register?

  1. Fill out the online application form (Note: Select the length and type of course)

  2. Pay the reservation fee (85 EUR / 365 PLN). This amount is included in the course price and confirms your participation. You can also pay for the entire course at once. 

  3. Pay the rest of the course fee by June 15**. Remember to email proof of payment to polski@kul.pl

  4. Come to Lublin and start your adventure with the Polish language and culture!!

 

**PLEASE NOTE! We advise candidates from outside the European Union to apply for the annual course 2-3 months before the start of the course due to lengthy visa procedures.
