Apostolat rodziny w parafii
Apostolate of Family in a Parish

Questions concerning the apostolate of the family ad extra that have been discussed up till now are of crucial importance for the ‘new evangelization.' They are especially meaningful and topical in the present Polish circumstances. Both the forms and the methods that serve them deserve support and continuation, although rightful and equal interpenetration of apostolate and pastorate remains the most important way of revival of the religious family and parish as well as of their apostolic mission. The beginning of this revival in the spirit of the ‘new evangelization' is - with simultaneously revealing the fundamental dimension of theology of family - awakening apostolic activity of families by earnestly presenting integral connections of apostolate with genuinely experienced Christianity. Forming communities based on family life, engaging already existing structures, as well as constant and more versatile intensifying cooperation bonds between the apostolate of the laymen and the pastor will be an important development of the work. Both laity and clergy must join in the process of achieving these aims. God's grace received through various channels will then support realization of the goals; by numerous difficulties and troubles of Poles' contemporary life, experience, ‘honest conscience,' ‘sense of faith' and personal sainthood of Christians and their families are supposed to guide one towards this aim. So the indicated problems demand taking initiatives in many fields, both in the sphere of theory and, mainly, of practice.

Samorząd terytorialny na ziemiach polskich podczas zaborów
Local Self-Government in Poland during the Period of the Partitions of Poland

The contemporary local self-government appeared for the first time in the second half of the nineteenth century in the times of occupation. Its scope and political structure were introduced by the intruders from Prussia, Austria and Russia by force. Mainly in the lands governed by Russia and Prussia, local self-government was obliged to comply with the rules of the occupiers. On the other hand, the autonomy of Galicia was able to supply Polish citizens with the variety of self-reliance and the access to plenty of self-government institutions. In spite of the obstacles used in the occupation era, local self-government was a kind of substitute for the Polish state and allowed to solve ‘own' problems in minimal range.

Wpływ poziomu kształcenia na świadomość uczniów dotyczącą HIV/AIDS oraz przeciwdziałanie temu zjawisku w Nigerii (tekst w języku angielskim)
The Influence of Levels of Education on Students' Awareness and Prevention of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria

Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań dotyczących wpływu poziomu kształcenia na świadomość uczniów w zakresie HIV/AIDS oraz przeciwdziałanie temu zjawisku w Nigerii. 450 respondentów (230 chłopców i 220 dziewcząt) wylosowano spośród ośmiu losowo wybranych publicznych szkół średnich w rejonie Agege. Do badań użyto 78-punktowy kwestionariusz, a w celu weryfikacji sześciu hipotez zastosowano t-test statistics.

Young People's Sports Magazines: Pedagogic Reflection

Author describes young people's sports magazines from a pedagogic perspective. He characterizes especially to two well-known titles: Bravo Sport and Giga Sport. The target of the first one are boys at the age of 15-19, and of the second one: youth at the age of 12-18. Author concludes that the magazines under discussion were certainly not created for the noble purpose of realization of educational function; nevertheless one shouldn't a priori write them off because, generally speaking, they are not harmful to young people, and sometimes may be even a source of inspiration for working on oneself and exceeding one's limitations; when the opportunity arises, a young sports enthusiast may learn something valuable from one or the other article. All the same, it seems that in this market segment one can find place for a title having higher aspirations and greater pedagogic intuition.

Gwarancja jako dodatkowe zabezpieczenie wierzytelności banków
Guarantee as an Additional Protection of the Receivables of Bank

In order to additional loan protection bank can take bank guarantee or guarantee of some other subject of rights. Guarantee agreement has obliging character and performs protective function. A bank guarantee is a guarantee made by a bank on behalf of a customer (usually an established corporate customer) in case it fails to deliver the payment, essentially making the bank a co-signer for one of its customer's purchases. A guarantee is a written contract stating that in the case that the borrower is unable or unwilling to pay its debt to a merchant, the bank will act as a guarantor and step in to pay that debt. Having a bank guarantee, a client can default and the bank assumes the liability. The bank guarantee is like a potential credit and that's way the procedure of granting the guarantee is similar to the credit one. A bank guarantee enables the customer (debtor) to acquire goods, buy equipment, or draw down loans, and thereby expand business activity. Effectiveness of bank guarantee depends on many different factors, among others on financial conditions of bank - guarantor, conditions of guarantee contract and obligation date.

Przekształcenia i teraźniejszość sektora bankowości spółdzielczej w Polsce - analiza na podstawie przepisów regulujących działalność banków
Transformations and the Present Situation of Cooperative Banking in Poland - Analysis Based on Banking Regulations

Now in Poland cooperative banks tend to consolidate in order to increase the average, basic values (balance sum, prime funds). Consequently, this sector will be by far less diversified than the sector of the commercial banks. Cooperative banks are transforming into a classic, homogeneous group of powerful local banks, known in the countries of the European Union, which supply the bank system with funds. The gained stabilization of the situation of cooperative banking enables the consideration of the further directions of the development of this financial sector, which is vital due to fact that the growing expectations of the customers, requirements of the regulations and pressure of the competitive surrounding will pose an increasingly tough challenge to cooperative banks.
