Likewise, Computational Intelligence and Granular Computing have demonstrated a rapid progress and a breadth of applications. These two areas naturally exhibit a lot of synergistic linkages leading to interesting conceptual and application-oriented developments. The key objective of this conference is to offer a vibrant forum of communicating and exchanging ideas in this rapidly growing research environment. In contrast to the most of conferences held nowadays, this conference exhibits a number of outstanding features. In particular, *the number of participants of the conference is to be kept small. This is done on purpose so that the conference can foster intensive research discussions and networking.
