Tasks of the International Relations Office:

 

  1. Administering international affairs and liaison with international organisations;
  2. Drafting agreements/memoranda of understanding and coordinating the cooperation with foreign universities in the framework of bilateral agreements;
  3. Organising official trips of the university authorities abroad and coordinating the visits of the official delegations and guests of the university authorities;
  4. Coordinating and administering the mobility of students and staff in the framework of scholarship and exchange programmes (non-degree short-term mobility);
  5. Developing and implementing own projects related to mobility of students and staff;
  6. Developing and disseminating information about mobility opportunities for students and staff;
  7. Handling foreign correspondence of the university in the scope set out by the university authorities;
  8. Cooperating with organisations and institutions representing and supporting the university abroad;
  9. Building the university’s image in collaboration with other competent university units;
  10. Participating in the process of raising and administering donations from abroad.

 

 

Tasks of the International Exchange Section:

 

The International Exchange Section deals with coordination and administrative support of international mobility of KUL students and staff under exchange programmes. The tasks of the Section include in particular:

 

1. coordination and administrative support of mobility of students doctoral students for studies and traineeships as well as academic and non-academic staff under exchange programmes;

 

2. networking and cooperation with foreign partners with regard to mobility;

 

3. development and implementation of own projects related to mobility of students and staff;

 

5. development and dissemination of information about mobility opportunities for students and staff (e.g. own website, contacts with students and staff, organisation of information meetings, seminars, trainings for KUL students and staff);

 

6. development and dissemination of information materials in English about the university (e.g. Guide for Erasmus+ Students, Course Catalogue in English);

 

7.  preparation of statistical data and reports related to mobility in the framework of EU educational programmes for the university, Ministry of Education and Science, national and international rankings, etc.;

 

8.  dissemination of information about the changes in the European Higher Education Area (the Bologna Process, ECTS, etc).
