Jest autorką trzech monografii: Aristocratic Ethos in Ellen Glasgow’s and Walker Percy’s Fiction (Wydawnictwo KUL, 2011), The Southern Mystique: Food, Gender and Houses in Southern Fiction and Films (Publicacions de la Universitat de València, 2012). oraz Live and Let Di(n)e: Food and Race in the Texts of the American South (Wydawnictwo KUL, 2017). Monografia Live and Let Di(n)e została uznana w europejskim konkursie 'The American Studies Network Book Prize 2018' za najwybitniejszą monografię autorską z dziedziny amerykanistyki napisaną w języku angielskim przez europejskiego amerykanistę w latach 2016-2017.
Zredagowała dwa tomy: Dixie Matters. New Perspectives on Southern Feminities and Masculinities (2013) i Ex-Centric Souths: (Re)Imagining Southern Centers and Peripheries (2019), w których autorzy to głównie naukowcy międzynarodowi, z uniwersytetów w Włoch, Anglii, Hiszpanii, Francji i Grecji. Dodatkowo była redaktorem gościnnym numeru tematycznego "Other Souths on Page and Screen" czasopisma Polish Journal for American Studies (2019).
Prowadzi seminaria magisterskie z literatury i/lub kultury amerykańskiej, historii literatury amerykańskiej, kulturoznawstwa amerykańskiego, adaptacji opowiadań amerykańskich, literatury amerykańskiego Południa, oraz „tekstów kultury amerykańskiej.”

Urszula Niewiadomska-Flis – is a member of the Department of American Literature and Culture. In 2006 she defended her PhD. dissertation “Ellen Glasgow and Walker Percy Re-visioning the Blighted Eden”. Her scholarly interests encompass representations of foodways in literature and film, fiction of regional America, especially literature of the American South, American short story, and ethnic/immigrant literatures of the USA, as well as American TV series. She is a member of Polish Association for American Studies (PAAS), Southern Studies Forum (of EAAS), Society for the Study of the American Short Story, and Society for the Study of Southern Literature
She is the author of Aristocratic Ethos in Ellen Glasgow’s and Walker Percy’s Fiction (KUL Publishing House, 2011) and The Southern Mystique: Food, Gender and Houses in Southern Fiction and Films (Publicacions de la Universitat de València, 2012), and most recently Live and Let Di(n)e: Food and Race in the Texts of the American South (KUL Publishing House, 2017). Live and Let Di(n)e was awarded "The 2018 American Studies Network Book Prize" by the American Studies Network (of EAAS) for a remarkable book published in English by a European scholar on any aspect of American Studies.
She edited two volumes: Dixie Matters: New Perspectives on Southern Femininities and Masculinities (KUL Publishing House, 2013) and Ex-Centric Souths: (Re)Imagining Southern Centers and Peripheries(Publicacions de la Universitat de València, 2019). She is also a guest editor of “Other Souths on Page and Screen” the themed special issue of Polish Journal for American Studies (2019).
She teaches MA seminars on American literature and culture, and several courses, among these are: history of American literature, American culture, American short stories, literature of the American south, and “texts of American culture.”
