Prolog Ewangelii według św. Jana (1,1-18) jest streszczeniem całej Ewangelii i zarazem streszczeniem teologii świata i historii ludzkości z punktu Jezusa Chrystusa jako Słowa – Osoby Bożej. Jest to najwyższe z możliwych ujęcie dziejów świata i człowieka.

Według Prologu zachodzi absolutny związek świata i człowieka z Jezusem Chrystusem jako Początkiem wszelkiego stworzenia, jako istotną treścią i tematem oraz celem i sensem. Bóg Ojciec przez Osobę Słowa wszystko realizuje, wypowiadając siebie samego. Chrystus jako Zrodzony jest pramotywem zaistnienia stworzenia, jego odkupienia, udoskonalenia i przez to uczynienia człowieka w nieskończenie dalekiej analogii również dzieckiem Bożym, o ile on tylko na działanie Odkupiciela się otworzy przez wiarę i czyn. I tak Chrystus realizuje razem ze światem i człowiekiem swoją Wielką Drogę: wychodzi od Ojca, staje się Historią Ludzką przez Wcielenie, przetwarza naszą ziemską historię na historię bosko-ludzką i powraca na łono Ojca w komunii Ducha Świętego z człowiekiem i całym światem.

Summary

According to the Prologue, there is an absolute connection between the world and man with Jesus Christ as the beginning of all creation, the real content and subject, the goal and sense. God the Father through the Person of the Word realises everything by speaking Himself. Christ, being Born, is the pre-motive for the creation’s existence, their redemption, improvement, and by that, He also makes the human, in an infinitely distant analogy, a child of God, inasmuch as they are open to God’s actions through their faith and acts. And that is how Christ realises, together with the world and man, His “Big Path”: He leaves the Father, becomes Human History through Incarnation, transforms our earthly history into divine-human history and returns to the Father’s bosom in the Holy Spirit’s communion with humans and the entire world.
