History of the Department of Emotion and Motivation Psychology

 

Department of Emotion and Motivation Psychology was originally established in 1997. Previously it was a part of Department of Experimental Psychology. Due to the fact, that it was separated as an independent Department, a new office was assigned in the room C-511 in the College of John Paul II. The office is there till now.

 

From the beginning to 2016 year, the head of the Department was prof. Zbigniew Zaleski.

 

 

 

 

 

Since 2017 the head of the Department of Emotion and Motivation Psychology is prof. Agata Błachnio.

 

 

During those few years in the Department of Emotion and Motivation Psychology, PhD and PhD students had worked, among others: Michał Janson, Phd; Celina Timoszyk - Tomczak, Phd; Dorota Borek-Chudek, PhD; Paweł Petrusewicz, MA; Anna Cycoń, MA; Agnieszka Dziubińska, MA; Paweł Koniak, MA; Ewa Bogusz MA; Katarzyna Jędruszczak, MA.

 

At present in the Department of Emotion and Motivation Psychology they work lecturers:

In 2018 our department organizes 39th edition Stress and Anxiety Research Society (STAR) International Conference. The conference was attended by more than 200 people from research centres from all over the world. Lectures were given by Stevan Hobfoll, Albert Sesé, Siobhan Howard, Erica Frydenberg, Noa Vilchinsky, Bogdan Zawadzki together with Agnieszka Popiel.

The tradition of the Department of Emotion and Motivation Psychology is to organize cycling, National Scientific Conference CLOSER TO EMOTIONS.
