Meet Slawosz Uznański - project astronaut of the European Space Agency

The Direction Earth/Space initiative joins forces with the Lublin Science Festival (LFN) - this Sunday, 17 September 2023, as part of the festival prologue, we invite you to an evening full of space excitement.

At 18:00 in the Knowledge Transfer Centre of the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL) there will be a meeting with Dr Sławosz Uznański, during which we will learn more about his path to becoming a European Space Agency (ESA) project astronaut and his first weeks of training in preparation for his flight to the International Space Station.

After the meeting, we invite you to an audiovisual feast - a multimedia projection (video mapping) on the façade of the Meeting of Cultures Centre (projections every half hour between 20:00 and 22:00). It will be an extraordinary journey into space that Dr Uznański will take us on, and through which we will learn that it is not only astronauts who can gain a completely new perspective on our planet. We will look at the world as never before - the centrepiece of this spectacular show will be the Earth as seen from space.
