3. Why did you decide to apply in the Erasmus+ programme?

Firstly when I heard about Erasmus + program, I thought that it was one of my dreams I wanted to make true.

I saw this program like a new experience for my life, and I really wanted to be part, because I am a person who likes to find out new things, for example new places, new cultures, new people, and in this way I could improve my communication skills in the English language also. For me Erasmus + was like an opportunity to go abroad, without my parents even though I was a bit afraid, but this was the beginning of living independently far away from my country and my family.

Also I wanted to gain new knowledge and new experience for future career, new skills,  I wanted to broaden my horizons physically and mentally, to grew my personality. Now I am happy because I really made my dream true.

4. Your personal experience/what did you like about your mobility/what did you gain thanks to it?

Staying in Poland for 5 months, for me was the best experience because I learned how to live in another country with new people from different countries and sharing our cultures with each other, hanging out with them, creating new friendships with boys and girls that now I consider like my family members.

I learned how to be independent in the way how to spend or not my money, or to decide for things that I wanted or not, or how to act in different situations.

I achieved a lot of knowledge in my field of study, I got new experiences in laboratory works that will help me in my future, also the important was that I learned how to manage my time for studying and going in different activities with my friends.

5. Why would you recommend it to others?

I would strongly recommend applying for Erasmus + program, because it will help participants at all stages of their lives to pursue stimulating opportunities for learning across Europe. Firstly, you will be more specialized for your future because the academic staff here is very professional.

Secondly, you will have the opportunity to visit a lot of cities in Poland, like Lublin the city where I studied. Lublin is such an amazing city, where you can find wondrous places, incredible people, and during your staying here you will learn a lot of new things.

So be part of this Erasmus+ program because it will be like a new door which is waiting to be open, and if you have any doubt, do not wait anymore but go and try yourself and this wonderful experience.

3. Why did you decide to apply in the Erasmus+ programme?

I have always loved those stories about how Erasmus changes someone’s life, but I have never thought that I could be one of those people or with similar experience. Now is my second time with Erasmus. The first experience was like those feelings when you try to do something for the first time, and after it ends you will keep it with you as memory. Although I didn’t have enough time to enjoy everything because I let my scary to be with me every time, I had too many works and doubts too, but now things change for better.

Even though that I know studying and living abroad was a huge step, which definitely it is. On the other side of perceptions already is a huge step of growing my career and focus more on my goals.

Also, I know that getting out of your comfort zone is not always easy, especially when you have to stay for a long time far away from your family, but would definitely boost your personal and professional skills.

Most of all  I wanted to challenge myself again, but in another point of view,  in my field of studies,  which was the main reason that  I completed all the documents for an Erasmus + program studies. After that, I won and moved to Lublin for 5 months.

4. Your personal experience/what did you like about your mobility/what did you gain thanks to it?

Erasmus can help you find new friends and create unforgettable memories, but have you ever thought that it can also give you a new place that you can call home?

My Erasmus + studying  program gave me a new place where I can feel like I belong to it and where people are always happy to see me and vice versa . And it gave me a chance to find out more about who I am and who I want to be.

It took some time for me to understand what was going on and what I had to do, but after that, it felt as  if I was right where I was supposed to be.  I had no idea that this experience would teach me to be more patient and show me the value of the simple moments. But it never ends like this.

Also, there were friends from all over the world who wanted to teach me about their cultures and now I am  very grateful that I had a second chance to be with Erasmus + program.

What could be better than learning how to cook traditional Polish, Turkish, Chinese, Indian, Greek food or learning how to speak in Polish, Greek, Georgian, Spanish, Serbian, Ukrainian, Hindi, and Turkish language?

Now I am completely sure that the  whole  experience is going to be like those  feeling that overwhelms us all during our Erasmus time, and turns us into friends,   integrated with moments of laughter, weariness, or thrill and in the end it created friendships that will last forever.

The most important was the experience on my field of studies. It was a bit difficult because I had to learn everything in English and to do work with new laboratory equipment that I had ever seen before. During this time, also  I tried to do an internship about DNA  replication and the genetic modification.

I did not even notice how those five months were already gone and I have to leave.

By the end of  my Erasmus, I will have plenty of stories to tell and many memories that I will keep it close to my heart. Although I might be sad when it all comes to an end, I will realize how lucky I was to be able to have this opportunity for studying abroad.

I am  finally one of those people whose lives have changed thanks to Erasmus.

5. Why would you recommend it to others?

I highely recommend all of you who is never been abroad,  to try once a time Erasmus (Studing or doing an internship abroad).

This experience  is a rare heartwarming feeling of having a lot of friend from  different nationalities, cultures, and personalities in a same city, also sharing the same thoughts, following the same goals, celebrating what brings us together also travelling and living as a big family.

Do not miss it, just do it!

3. Why did you decide to apply in the Erasmus+ programme?

To be honest, first time I didn't believe that such programme as Erasmus + is real!

I decided to join, because it was a great chance to test yourself and your opportunities. Study in English, meeting new people and living abroad - everything what I dreamed about. There is one very important phrase, which (to my mind) all people must follow: "Take every chance you get in life ... because some things only happen once!" That's why, I decided to apply to this programme, and I'm so happy that I did it.

4. Your personal experience/what did you like about your mobility/what did you gain thanks to it?

I never had possibility to communicate with other people in English and Polish ( furthermore, I didn't know Polish before I came to Lublin, but now I can talk on different topics). I never lived separately from parents and thanks to Erasmus programme, I became more self-dependent.

All professors from my faculty were very kind and understanding. I am very grateful to each of them for their sharing expierence. Moreover, I visited a lot of countries during my mobility(some of them: Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic and so on)  And all it thanks to Erasmus.

5. Why would you recommend it to others?

It is a priceless experience to try what you can and even to change your life, maybe some of your habits. I changed it. And now it's your turn to do it.
