Scientific interests
Research in the broad field of natural foundations of landscape architecture, landscape design. Associates research results and problems undertaken by geographers, geobotanists, ecologists, spatial planners, landscape architects and conservation practitioners. Three leading streams can be distinguished in the research: the study of plant cover in floristic-phytosociological terms, issues of shaping and protecting open landscapes, landscape and nature valorization. Another current of research is the issues of the development of green areas, their role in the formation of the ecological structure, the natural and recreational system, their importance in the formation of a suitable environment for human life and habitats for animals, the preservation of biodiversity and other aspects of the introduction of the idea of sustainable development in the formation of cities.

 

Expert activities
Participation in committees and teams dealing with the shaping of urban spaces (e.g., Green Budget, team for the protection of ravines and dry valleys).
