Personal information

Father dr Krzysztof Bieliński CSsR, is a priest who belongs to the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists).  He was born in 1967 in the city of Elbląg.  During the years 1986-1993, he studied at the Higher Theological Seminary for Redemptorists in Tuchow, which is affiliated with the Papal Theological Academy in Krakow.  On may 28, 1993, he received the title of master of theology based on his master?s thesis in biblical theology entitled ?The Second Death in the Apocalypse of St. John?, which was supervised by Fr. Prof. Michał Bednarz.  In the years 1994-1999, he undertook his doctoral studies (matriculated at LMU) in the field of the Exegesis of the New Testament at Ludwig-Maximillian University in Munich (Germany).  On 11.19.2001, he defended his doctoral thesis which was supervised by Fr. Prof. Joachim Gnilk titled ?Prophet im Wiederspruch. Eine narrative-sozialgeschtliche Untersuchung zu Lk 23, 6-12?.

 During the winter semester of the 2001/2002 academic year he began work as an educator at the Higher Spiritual Seminary for Redemptorists in Krakow, where he taught philosophy students and gave lectures on the New Testament in the theology department at the Redemptorist seminary in Tuchow.  In the years 2002-2007, he was in charge of the alumni association at the Redemptorist Seminary in Tuchow (theology department).  He also gave lectures on the New Testament and taught a research seminar on this subject.  He is a graduate of the two-year Training School for Teacher?s of Diocesan and Monastic Theological Seminaries (2005-2006), under the patronage of the Polish Episcopal Commission for Spiritual affairs, headed by the Center of the Spiritual Formation of the Salvatorians in Krakow.  He was also engaged in leading Lectio Divina recollections, bible broadcasts at Radio Maryja and Trwam television (Searching for the Word of God, In the Tent of the Word). He is a member of the Association of Biblical Scholars.  

As of the 2007/2008 academic year, he was appointed for the position of Rector of the Higher School of Social Culture and Media in Toruń and a lecturer at this school.  He held this position for five years, until September 2012.  From 10.01.2012, he was hired as an assistant at the Department of Exegesis of the Narrative Books of the New Testament at the Institute for Biblical Studies at the Catholic University of Lublin.  He has also been working as a lecturer at the Higher Spiritual Seminary for Redemptorists in Tuchow.
