The best doctoral dissertation from KUL

The doctoral dissertation of dr Diana Müller (PhD), Institue of Psychology, entitled “Psychologiczne uwarunkowania funkcjonowania studentów niepełnosprawnych słuchowo w relacjach interpersonalnych’’ was awarded an honourable mention in the 9th National Competition “Open Doors” for the best doctoral dissertation or MA thesis investigating the problem of disability form the health, professional or social perspective. The jury recognized its innovative approach to the problem of disability and acknowledged the possibility of practical application of the research.

Internship - Success of a Researcher

Dr Bibianna Bałaj (PhD) and mgr Paweł Augustynowicz (MA), employed at the Psycho-Neuro-Phisiological Laboratory HD KUL, are the laureates of the Internship - Success of a Researcher Scheme. In the project they work on visual interaction in computer management of physically disabled people.

COPERNICUS PRIZE 2012

Professor Piotr Francuz, Head of the Institue of Psychology KUL, was honoured with Copernicus Prize 2012 during the Jubilee 15th Cogress of the Polish Neurpsychological Society. The prize was awarded for achievements in developing neuroscience in Poland.

Philosophy at KUL among the best degree courses in Poland

On 12 July 2012, during a ceremony at Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Polish Republic results of a contest for Leading National Academic Centres and the best degree courses in Poland were announced. One of the laureates is the Faculty of Philosophy at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.

Phoenix 2011 Prize (Feniks 2012) for Encyclopedia of Polish Philosophy

On 28 March 2012 the jury of the Society of Catholic Publishers awarded the Polish society of Thomas Aquinas with Phoenix 2012 Prize (Feniks 2012) for editing the first Encyclopedia of Polish Philosophy.

The KUL team in Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2012

A team representing the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin is a runner-up in the national phase of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2012. The Competition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice and is one of the most prestigious rhetorical contests in the world.

Paweł Fortuna awarded the Book for a Trainer Award 2011

Polish Association of Business Trainers has granted the Book for a Trainer Award 2011 for the first time. The award was granted to dr Paweł Fortuna (PhD), employed at the Institute of Psychology KUL, for a book entitled: “Perswazja w pracy trenera, czyli jak wpływać na postawy uczestników szkoleń”.

Mariola Łaguna awarded a Minister of Science and Higher Education Award

Dr hab. Mariola Laguna (PhD), Professor of KUL, has been granted the Minister of Science and Higher Education Award for academic accomplishment and for an outstanding habilitation thesis: “Przekonania na własny temat i aktywność celowa. Badania nad przedsiębiorczością".

Psychologica Review on the ERIH index

As decided by European Science Foundation, "Psychologica Review" KUL has been placed on the prestigious ERIH (European Reference Index for Humanities) list. “Psychologica Review" is the only psychological periodical written in Polish placed on the list which catalogues journals dealing with 15 core subjects.

Crystal Brick Award(Kryształowa Cegła) for Biotechnolgy KUL

The building of Biotechnology KUL has won an award at the 9th Crystal Brick Competition held to recognize the best building investment around the eastern border of the European Union. KUL has been granted 1st prize in the Educational Facilities category.
