History

The Department of Human Rights was established on 25th Jan 2009 by decision of The Council of Law, Canon Law and Administration. Previously, the issues concerning human rights were researched by The Department of Public Church Law and Constitutional Law, one of the employees being Christopher Orzeszyna (1999-2009), which concentrated on eg. The issue of freedom of religion in EU. The Department of Human Rights officially started its activity on 1th Oct 2009. Also this day Christopher Orzeszyna was elected the First Chair of the Department.
