Dr hab. Krzysztof Orzeszyna, Ph.D., University Professor
Krzysztof Orzeszyna was born on 16th February 1964 in Wieluń. Primary and secondary level education gained in Praszka (opolskie voivodeship).
In 1984-1990 he studied at the Theology Faculty of the Papal Theological Academy (PTA) in Cracow and received a MA in theology.
In 1992-1995 he studied canon law at the Catholic University of Lublin and received a MA on the grounds of the thesis "Pastoral character of the diocesan curia" written down under the direction of prof. Tadeusz Pieronek (PTA).
In 1994-2000 he studied law and received a LLM on the grounds of the thesis "Religious freedom in international and European documents" written down under the direction of prof. Anna Przyborowska-Klimczak.
In 1996-1998 as a French Government's scholar he discharged doctoral studies in the Catholic Institute in Paris.
In 2000 received scientific degree of PhD on the grounds of the dissertation " The office of episcopal vicar in the universal law of the Roman Church". The promoter of this dissertation was prof. Józef Krukowski, and it was reviewed by prof. Antoni Dębiński and prof. Józef Wroceński.
On 4th November 2008 he received scientific degree of Hab. PhD in legal sciences with the specialization in European Union law.
Since 15th February 1999 he was appointed in the Department of Public and Constitutional Church Law at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the Catholic University of Lublin. For the first three years as an assistant and since 15th February 2002 to 30th September 2009 as a lecturer.
He has been the Chair of the Department of Human Rights since 1th October 2009 and its lecturer.
Since 1st October 2010 he is professor at The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and since 1st October 2012 he is professor at National Defence University in Warsaw, National Security Faculty.
