The winner of Student literary competition

The jury, consisting of dr. Patrycja Antoszek and dr. Urszula Niewiadomska-Flis, reached a unanimous decision that the story “Blackberry stains” stands out among other texts submitted for the competition.

“Blackberry stains” exemplifies a fresh and original writing; there are no clichés or stale ideas. The author’s voice is strong and engaging. The way the story is presented effectively keeps the reader’s interest. Apart from an intriguing plot and well thought out composition, the author manifests a rare linguistic sensitivity – graceful, elegant prose combines with realistic dialogue and skillful use of metaphor. There is tension, a sense of mystery and a tinge of bitterness, which mixed together in reasonable proportions, seem to present a picture of life.

The author of the story is Ms Agata Weronika Chrobak, a student of the 2nd year MA studies.

CONGRATULATIONS!
