The Chair of Educational and Family Psychology is one of the oldest psychological chairs in KUL. She was managed successively by: prof. dr hab. Natalia Reutt, prof. dr hab. Natalia Han-Ilgiewicz, prof. dr hab. Stefan Kunowski, prof. dr hab. Teresa Kukołowicz. In the years 1985 - 2011 the department was headed by prof. dr hab. Maria Braun-Gałkowska. After the retirement of Professor Maria Braun-Gałkowska, the cathedral was under the care of a curator, who was dr hab. Jacek Śliwak, prof. KUL. Since June 1, 2013, the department has been headed by dr hab. Bogusława Lachowska, prof. KUL.
