Félix-Antoine Cloutier o sobie...

My name is Félix-Antoine Cloutier and I am an MA student in Political Science from Université de Montréal in Québec, Canada and I am presently at KUL as part of a research internship under the supervision of Dr hab. Marcin Kosienkowski. This partnership is a result of a collaboration between my thesis director in Montréal, Prof. Magdalena Dembinska, Dr hab. Marcin Kosienkowki, Université de Montréal, The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and Mitacs Globalink.

Mitacs Globalink is a program that helps to establish connections between Canadian universities and researchers from all around the world. The duration of these internships ranges from 12 to 24 weeks depending on the project. This program is available for undergraduate students finishing their bachelor’s degree, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

As an MA student interested mostly in Eastern Europe and more specifically about political aspects of tourism in the de facto state of Transnistria, doing an internship at KUL under the supervision of Dr hab. Marcin Kosienkowski was a great opportunity since I could find such expertise here in KUL.

Therefore, my research internship at KUL is mainly about developing my knowledge regarding Eastern Europe and unrecognized states, learn more about the academic field (teaching, research, etc.), establish contact with a new network of experts and academics in Poland while at the same time visiting a new country. So far, my experience is truly enriching on a personal level and will certainly be useful for my thesis and further development.
